This Richard Aquamax ref 8827 from the year 1960 is a rare bird to say the least, the Legendary Aquamax diver as the name already dreams is a other big waterproof dive watch. The steel compressor box messages in at a whooping 40mm (with the signed competitor Crown). On the lightly patinated untouched black dial can we find a lot of Radium folded, this radioactive substance that gives light in the dark has turned to a caramel color over the years. The style that has been used on this dies is the indixies that are fully daughter with radium giving optimal legibility at all time, the same goes to the use of the big arrow hour hand that is holding a lot of Radium. A Bidirectional bezel is a must have for any live watch, this Aquamax has still the original bezel, even after almost 70 years of service!
The beating heart of this watch, an AS 1700 automatic. The movement has just been serviced by our talanted watchmaker, all functions work perfectly and comes with a 12 month guarentee!
Overall a collectors dream that is especially hard to find in an untouched conditon like this.
